    Aiming at the problem of poor synchronization effect in traditional methods, this paper proposes a research on data synchronization method of heterogeneous database based on Web Service. According to the heterogeneous database structure, the synchronous execution process is designed, and the data is uniformly encoded by using the HTTP-based SOAP transmission protocol and the XML standard, and the data source can be added or deleted at any time. The SQL statement in the heterogeneous database data synchronization control module is decomposed, and the result data returned by the database and the XML conversion function are converted into an XML format, and returned to the Web Service unified interface. The local temporary table and copy of the source database table are used to realize the synchronization of the data of the heterogeneous database based on the Web Service. Design comparison experiments can be concluded that the data synchronization effect of heterogeneous databases using the Web Service method is as high as 97%, which satisfies the normal business processing of the synchronous application system.
