In recent years, with the continuous development of network technology, the personal privacy and security of citizens have become a key concern of the public. News related to the leakage of citizens' personal information is constantly emerging, which not only seriously restricts the establishment of a good network environment, but also causes a series of negative impacts on citizens' real life. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a reasonable personal information protection system based on the actual situation in China, in order to improve the online living environment of citizens. This article first briefly introduces the necessity of administrative law protection of personal information in the open data environment, analyzes the challenges faced by current administrative law protection of personal information, and proposes personal information protection strategies based on administrative law in the open data environment to enhance the confidentiality of personal information of Chinese citizens at the legal level.
