- Abstract:
The rapid development of online new media has posed new challenges to the construction of teacher ethics and conduct in universities. This study, through literature review and case analysis, delves into the problems and challenges of teacher ethics and conduct in universities in the era of online new media, and proposes corresponding strategies and methods. Analyzed the main problems faced by the construction of teacher ethics and style in universities in the era of online new media. This includes the proliferation of false information, individualistic tendencies, and confusion about identity. The proliferation of false information makes it difficult for teachers to distinguish between truth and falsehood when disseminating knowledge and information, which undermines the credibility of education; Individualistic tendencies lead teachers to pay more attention to individual interests and neglect collective responsibility, which is not conducive to the comprehensive development of students; The confusion of identity makes teachers susceptible to different values in the online environment, lacking clear educational positioning and behavioral norms. In response to these issues, this article proposes corresponding countermeasures and methods. At the management level, universities should strengthen the guidance and supervision of the construction of teacher ethics and conduct, formulate clear rules and regulations, and strengthen professional ethics education and training for teachers; At the individual level of teachers, they should improve their media literacy, use online platforms correctly, adhere to educational principles and ethical bottom lines, and establish a positive image on the internet. Finally, this article emphasizes that the construction of teacher ethics and conduct requires the joint efforts of the government, universities, teachers, and all sectors of society. The government should strengthen the supervision of the network environment and maintain the authority of public platforms; Universities should strengthen the exemplary and leading role of teacher ethics and conduct; Teachers should continuously improve their own qualities and professional ethics, and become role models and guides for students; All sectors of society should jointly pay attention to and participate in the construction of teacher ethics and conduct in universities. Through this study, we can better understand the problems and challenges in the construction of professional ethics and conduct in universities in the era of online new media, and propose targeted strategies and methods, providing reference for the healthy development of higher education.
