  • Abstract:

Under the current background of big data, this study adopts American scholar John H. Schumann's acculturation model as a theoretical framework to conduct an acculturation survey on exchange students coming to China and analyze the collected data in detail. The purpose of the study is to elucidate how exchange students' acculturation affects their Chinese language learning and, accordingly, to propose specific suggestions for improving acculturation. By gaining an in-depth understanding of the challenges of acculturation encountered by exchange students in the process of language learning, the study provides strategic suggestions for the management of international student education to help exchange students better integrate into the abroad environment, thus enhancing the effectiveness of Chinese language learning.
