• Abstract:

   In the context of the digital age, literary research is undergoing unprecedented changes. This article aims to explore the manifestation of modernity in narrative and the impact of big data analysis on the narrative structure of literary works. Firstly, the article defines modernity and analyzes its manifestations in literary narrative techniques, such as non-linear storytelling and multiple perspectives. Next, the article introduces the basic concepts of big data analysis and discusses how it reveals narrative patterns and structures, as well as application cases in narratology. At the same time, the article also points out the limitations of big data analysis in literary research, including issues with data quality and representativeness, as well as the neglect of deep meaning in texts. By analyzing the application of big data analysis in the narrative structure of literary works, the importance of combining traditional literary criticism methods with big data analysis is emphasized, in order to bring more innovation and breakthroughs to the field of literary research.
