  • Abstract:

    Colleges and universities, being pivotal institutions for nurturing top-tier talents, ought to prioritize not solely the impartation of specialized knowledge but also the enhancement of students' ethical and ideological foundation. To elevate the standards of higher education, this paper endeavors to investigate and delve into the seamless integration of ideological and political dimensions within the instruction of the Principles of Automatic Control curriculum amidst the digital era. By scrutinizing the core objectives of this foundational course, it underscores its vital role in preparing students for future endeavors in scientific inquiry and engineering feats. Furthermore, the analysis delves into the current educational landscape of the course, identifying key challenges that necessitate resolution in the educational journey. The necessity of integrating the elements of Civics and Politics into the Principles of Automatic Control course is analyzed from three aspects, namely, deepening the teaching reform, implementing the teaching tasks and cultivating technical talents. It is pointed out that the teaching objectives of course Civics should be combined with control theory, and Civics elements such as philosophical discernment and value leadership should be carried through the course teaching. The course overview part, knowledge teaching part, practical teaching part and other specific teaching links as an entry point, into which the integration of appropriate Civic-Political elements for detailed analysis, and "control system stability margin and three-band theory" teaching unit as an example to explore the design and implementation of the course Civic-Political teaching and put forward a specific teaching program. The aim is to effectively integrate the Civic and Political elements into the teaching of professional courses and improve the quality of teaching.
