• Abstract:

   As an important part of Chinese language and culture, Hainan dialect is facing the challenge of protection and inheritance. In this paper, we conducted Hainan dialect diversity survey and conservation. First, the classification methods and different dialect types of Hainan dialect are introduced, and the geographical distribution of different dialects is described in detail. Next, the methods of investigating dialect diversity are explored and explain how to collate and analyze the collected dialect data. Subsequently, the current situation of the protection of Hainan dialect is analyzed, and the protection path is put forward. Through the formulation and implementation of language policies, education promotion, community participation and the use of technical means, Hainan dialect can effectively be protected and inherited, and the diversity and traditional value of regional culture can be maintained.
