  • Abstract:

In engineering structural design, porous materials have attracted much attention due to their lightweight and high-strength characteristics. However, traditional uniform porous structures have certain limitations in terms of mechanical properties. A Gyroid porous structure with radial porosity gradient variation was designed based on the gyro porous structure in a three period minimal surface, and compared and analyzed with the traditional uniform porosity Gyroid structure. Under the premise of consistent overall porosity, compression simulations were conducted on two structures in Abaqus software to analyze their equivalent Young's modulus and yield limit. The results indicate that when the porosity is the same, the Gyroid structure with radial porosity gradient has higher elastic modulus and yield strength. This structure effectively enhances the efficiency of load dispersion and transmission by optimizing the radial distribution of porosity, which can significantly improve the mechanical properties.
