    With the increasingly severe global environmental problems, ecological restoration technology and sustainable development have become the focus of attention in today's society. The rapid development of the Internet has brought new opportunities and challenges to the research and practice in this field. This paper discusses the ecological restoration technology and sustainable development strategy in the greening project under the Internet background, and analyzes its importance, current situation and future development trend. First, it defines the concept of ecological restoration technology and its importance in greening projects, and introduces in detail the application of Internet technology in ecological restoration, including the Internet of Things, big data analysis, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Secondly, the application of sustainable development strategies in greening projects was elaborated, including resource management and recycling, ecological protection and restoration, community participation and public education, as well as policy support and legal regulations. Then, it discusses the combination of ecological restoration technology and sustainable development strategies under the Internet background, providing reference and reference for research and practice in the field, and promoting the sustainable development of environmental protection and ecological construction.
