    Given the growing demand for high-level technical and skilled professionals in modern society and the deepening advancement of vocational education reform in China, this study examines the development of software engineering programs within undergraduate-level vocational education. It elaborates on the definition and characteristics of undergraduate education, as well as the current status and framework of vocational education systems in China. Taking software engineering as a case study, the research provides an in-depth analysis of its current state within vocational education at the undergraduate level. This analysis aims to facilitate better integration of such programs into the broader educational system, meet learners' needs for continuing education, and keep pace with socio-economic development trends.
