  • Abstract:

The vocational college major in IoT Application Technology bears the responsibility of cultivating high-caliber technical professionals aligned with industry demands. To enhance the quality of specialized talent development, this study proposes research on the curriculum framework for the IoT Application Technology program. First, it systematically reviews relevant theories and concepts, emphasizing that higher vocational education—as the advanced tier of vocational training—is dedicated to nurturing skilled professionals whose competencies match societal development needs. The IoT Application Technology program primarily encompasses courses such as Fundamentals of Electrical Circuits, aiming to cultivate well-rounded, high-caliber professionals adaptable to the IoT industry. The necessity of developing this curriculum framework is analyzed, emphasizing that the program must align with vocational education policies by advancing modular project-based teaching reforms and curriculum development. It further clarifies that IoT positions require multi-disciplinary technical integration, necessitating competency-based curriculum design that meets both job-specific requirements and regional industrial demands. Specific measures for implementation include strengthening practical teaching management, enhancing faculty collaboration, and refining student evaluation systems through a blend of formative and summative assessments. The student evaluation system is refined to integrate both process-based and outcome-based assessments. Faculty development is enhanced through rational allocation of teaching resources, while order-based talent cultivation fosters long-term, stable partnerships between institutions and enterprises, thereby improving program adaptability. These efforts collectively drive comprehensive quality enhancement in vocational IoT application technology education, promoting deep integration between educational equity and industry advancement.
