  • Abstract:

Aiming at the pain points of traditional auxiliary tools with great limitations and existing intelligent devices with insufficient adaptability in the travel of visually impaired groups, a walking aid robot solution based on a tracked mobile platform and multi-sensor fusion is proposed. The whole machine adopts a modular design, equipped with a control core, integrating VEML7700 high-resolution photosensitive sensor, TCRT5000 tracking sensor, MQ-2 smoke sensor and flame detection camera based on YOLO algorithm to form a multi-dimensional environmental perception network. An innovative rubber track wheel system is designed to improve adaptability to complex terrains, which can cope with scenarios such as gravel roads and muddy roads, ensuring stable travel through uniform pressure distribution. The device has two modes: safety mode and alert mode. In normal state, it assists travel through sound and armrests, supporting remote monitoring by family members; when smoke or fire source is detected, the alert mode is triggered, the buzzer alarms and guides the user to evacuate. The research results provide a safer and more adaptable intelligent walking aid solution for visually impaired groups.
