  • Abstract:

With the accelerating pace of global infrastructure development, the civil engineering industry faces a growing demand for internationally oriented professionals who possess both deep technical expertise and cross-cultural competence. This paper takes Yanshan University’s civil engineering program as a case study to explore the construction of an internationalized high-level talent training model. Relying on the China-Australia High-Level University Student Exchange Program (CHUSEP) 2+2 dual-degree joint training initiative, the program has implemented a series of reforms, including the high-quality delivery of joint training, the development of full-English (bilingual) curricula, the enhancement of teaching team capacity, and the strengthening of institutional partnerships. These measures aim to cultivate graduates capable of functioning effectively in diverse professional environments. The findings suggest that such an integrated approach not only improves educational quality but also elevates the internationalization level of both the university and its school of engineering.
