  • Abstract:

Considering the university's educational positioning, disciplinary characteristics, and course features, and taking "industry" (the cultivation of application-oriented talents) as the starting point, this study establishes the ideological and political education objectives of "Two Abilities and Two Hearts" (critical thinking ability, practical ability, sense of responsibility, and sense of service) for the practice-oriented course group of civil engineering. Ideological and political teaching content characterized by multi-level diversity, structured organization, and information richness is designed. To stimulate students' intrinsic motivation, a student-centered four-step teaching model of "perceiving to reflect, discussing to understand, learning to discern, and practicing to comprehend" is constructed. The designed course evaluation system features specialized methods, diversified approaches, full participation, and quantifiable results, enabling the achievement of ideological and political education objectives to be evaluated and measured. After nearly two years of in-depth practice, the objectives have been significantly achieved, which not only promotes the comprehensive development of students' overall qualities but also enhances the demonstrative and leading role of the course.
